Canadian Adaptation and Rural Development (CARD) program was the first program to be delivered by Agri-Futures Nova Scotia. The fund began in 1995 and was designed to foster the increased long-term growth, employment and competitiveness of Canada’s agricultural and agri-food industry and agricultural rural areas.

In Nova Scotia, more than 400 applications were received and 312 were approved. More than $5 million was paid on projects under this program.
