Since 1997, Agri-Futures Nova Scotia Association has been working to support and encourage research and innovation to increase the competitiveness and profitability of NS’s agricultural sector.
Agri-Futures NS is a not-for-profit association developed to deliver Federal Adaptation funding. For more than 15 years Agri-Futures successfully delivered more than $16 million to Nova Scotia Agriculture. In 2014, Federal Adaptation funding was no longer delivered by industry councils and Agri-Futures NS changed gears- focusing on research and knowledge transfer and now to collective impact and local food production and consumption.
The Association is governed and led by a 10 member Board of Directors, who are farmers with extensive industry experience; who work to facilitate collective networks around food and agriculture among government, industry, and communities to enhance the well-being of Nova Scotians.
